Title: All Stations Accessibility Program (ASAP)
Agency: US DOT – Federal Transit Administration (FTA)
Deadline: May 1, 2026

The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Transit Administration (FTA) has announced a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for the All Stations Accessibility Program (ASAP). This competitive grant program provides funding to support capital and planning projects that improve the accessibility of legacy rail transit stations for people with disabilities.

The goal of the ASAP program is to increase the number of rail public transportation stations that meet or exceed the accessibility requirements established under Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Funding may be used for a variety of planning and capital activities, including repairing, modifying, retrofitting, or relocating station infrastructure to improve accessibility, as well as conducting accessibility assessments and developing plans for future upgrades.

Eligible applicants include states, local governmental authorities, and designated transit recipients that operate or support legacy rail public transportation systems and stations. Legacy stations are defined as rail stations that were constructed or began construction prior to the ADA accessibility requirements established in the early 1990s and remain inaccessible or difficult to use for people with disabilities.
