Title: FAA Contract Tower (FCT) Competitive Grant Program
Deadline: February 17, 2026

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has released a new funding opportunity under the Contract Tower (FCT) Competitive Grant Program, offering up to $120 million in FY 2026 Airport Infrastructure Grant funds to support airport-owned air traffic control tower (ATCT) projects nationwide. This program focuses on addressing aging airport infrastructure by funding projects that construct, repair, rehabilitate, modernize, replace, or relocate non-approach control towers, as well as upgrades to air traffic control, communications, and related equipment, including FAA-certified remote towers. Eligible applicants include FAA-approved Contract Tower Program sponsors, such as public agencies, private entities, state agencies, and Tribal airport sponsors, with no local match required. Awards range from $25,000 to $83.3 million, and priority will be given to projects that advance aviation safety, improve air traffic efficiency, and can be implemented quickly. Applications are due February 17, 2026, at 5:00 PM Eastern Time. As always, the Build America Center provides no-cost technical assistance to help eligible airport sponsors assess fit and prepare strong applications.
