We’re pleased to highlight a new funding opportunity through the Federal-State Partnership for Intercity Passenger Rail (FSP-National) Program, administered by the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA). This competitive discretionary program supports projects that expand, improve, or establish intercity passenger rail service across the U.S.—including bringing new routes online, addressing state of good repair needs, upgrading stations, enhancing rolling stock, improving or adding track capacity, and advancing corridors identified for future high-performance rail. Eligible applicants include states, Amtrak, political subdivisions, and public agencies engaged in rail planning or operations. This FY24–25 NOFO is currently open for applications.
