DESCRIPTION: This webinar will discuss how public-private partnerships (P3) for deployment of public electric vehicle charging infrastructure can be effectively managed using availability payment mechanisms and minimum revenue guarantees to ensure accountability of private partners and address concerns about reasonable rates of return on equity, especially for projects supported by Federal funding. The webinar will also introduce attendees to decision tools and other informational resources developed by the Federal Highway Administration to support states and local governments in navigating the evolving landscape of electric vehicle charging infrastructure delivery using P3s.
PRESENTER: Patrick DeCorla-Souza is the Public-Private Partnerships (P3) Program Manager at the U.S. Department of Transportation’s (USDOT) Build America Bureau and the Federal Highway Administration’s (FHWA) Center for Innovative Finance Support. Patrick is developing resources to assist states and communities in developing P3s to deliver electric vehicle charging infrastructure.
